Journey with Jeni’s Global Yoga Trips to the Sacred Valley in Peru for 10 days/9 nights where we’ll explore many Inca and pre-Inca spiritual and archaeological sites including an awe-inspiring two-day visit to Machu Picchu.

Our home-away-from-home will be the luxurious Willka T’ika Wellness Retreat Center in Urubamba, cradled by the Andean peaks and renowned for its beautiful Chakra Gardens and ancient, healing Lucuma tree. Willka T’ika‘s staff are local Quechua, Inca descendants who still practice their ancient traditions. You’ll love returning to your ultra-comfortable rooms and delicious meals after our daily excursions into the Sacred Valley. Spa services are also available on site.

We will participate in traditional Inca ceremonies with authentic Q’ero healers or shamans, centered on the principle of Ayni (reciprocity). These ceremonies celebrate our connection to Pachamama, Mother Earth, and focus on spiritual balance and well-being. Our highly experienced guides will share stories of the Inca and translate Quechua from the Q’ero healers as needed.

What’s included in the Sacred Valley Retreat?

• Luxury Accommodations
  Whether we are staying at Willka T’ika, Aguas Calientes (near Machu Picchu) or in Cusco, you’ll enjoy luxury accommodations with a private bathroom.
• Gourmet Vegetarian Meals
  All meals at Willka T’ika are vibrant, organic, farm-to-table gourmet vegetarian. Those who want to sample local meats will have several opportunities when we have non-hosted lunches.
• A dedicated yoga space
  Yoga classes taught by Jeni Martinez or Sandi Koch will be offered in a beautiful sun-filled yoga room. Yoga mats, and props are provided so that you do not have to travel with them.
• Professional guide
  Professional local guides who are experts in Andean culture, history and cosmology will be with us during the week.
• Inca ceremonies
  We will participate in unique ceremonies led by authentic Q’ero shaman. Centered on the principle of Ayni (reciprocity), these ceremonies celebrate our connection to Pachamama, Mother Earth.
• Andean School Visit
  Willka T’ika Children’s Fund supports an isolated mountain school. We will visit the school and experience first-hand the practice of Ayni, reciprocity, when we meet the Quechua students.
• Visit a Weaving Village
  We will visit Chinchero, a weaving village to see how Quechua women have preserved the weaving traditions of their ancestors.
• Machu Picchu Visit
  An awesome two-day visit of Machu Picchu will include a guided tour plus an opportunity to hike Huayna Picchu Peak if desired. We will spend the night in a luxury hotel in nearby Aguas Calientes.
• Ollantaytambo and the Sun Temple
  Visit the ceremonial site of the Sun Temple as well as the picturesque town with its cobblestone streets and colorful markets.
• Moray Circles
  Explore the mysterious Moray circles set amidst the beautiful mountain scenery.
• Korikancha Temple
  Explore the Korikancha Temple, the holiest site during the Incan times.
• Tipon Fountains
  Visit the Inca ritual fountains of Tipon. You’ll have the chance to participate in the ancient ceremony of Yaku, the spirit of water. Yaku is thought to open the body’s energy and healing centers.
• Saksaywaman
  Visit the giant stones of Saksaywaman overlooking Cusco. We will take a guided tour and enjoy a picnic at the site.
• A Traditional Cacao
  Ceremony Cacao is a sacred “teacher” plant that helps us open our hearts and connect with our higher self. The delicious, chocolate beverage is served in a musical, meditative ceremony by a local shaman.
• 2 Nights in Cusco
  Cusco, also known as Qosqo in Quechua, was founded in the 13th century and served as the capital of the Inca Empire. It was often referred to as the “Navel of the World” by the Inca themselves.
• Transportation
  Group transfer in a comfortable, luxury bus will be provided from the Cusco airport to Willka T’ika as well as to all sites that we visit. Cusco Airport pick-up time on Oct. 9 is scheduled at 11:30 am.
• Tips for service
  Tips for the hotel staff, porters, bus drivers, and other service providers are included in your retreat cost. The tip for our main guide is not included. See details below.

What’s not included:

• Flights
  Both international flights to Lima as well as the domestic flight from Lima to Cusco are not included in the cost of the retreat. A group flight will be arranged from Lima to Cusco for the first day. 
• Travel Insurance
  We strongly recommend that you have travel insurance to protect your travel investment. Insurance should cover the cost of emergency medical services, evacuation and repatriation to your home country
• Non-hosted meals
  There will be 4 non-hosted meals which will give you the chance to sample local cuisine that may not be served at Willka T’ika. Omnivores can try cuy (guinea pig) or alpaca burgers, if you’re brave.
• Alcohol
  If you enjoy sampling alcoholic beverages, you may want to try the very popular Pisco Sour or a cocktail made with Matacuy.
• Tips for our guide
  We will have a guide dedicated to our group throughout our stay. Recommended tip amount at the end of the week is $10-$15 per day or $100-$150 per person.
• Laundry Service
  Laundry Service is available at Willka T’ika for a fee. There is also a laundry station if you prefer to do your own laundry.
• Final Airport Transfer
  The final transfer from your Cusco Hotel to the airport is not included. This can be arranged through the hotel according to your flight departure time. Cost will be roughly $15-$20.
• Spa Services
  Willka T’ika offers a range of therapeutic spa treatments to restore the body. Massage styles include Andean massage, aromatherapy massage, hot stone massage, and shiatsu.
• Pre-retreat in Lima
  Our retreat will officially begin in Cusco when we are picked up at the airport on Oct. 9, 2027. We recommend you arrive in Lima 1-2 days in advance. Group flight will be booked from Lima to Cusco.
